I'm Jo Wildsmith

...and this is what I do.

As a long-term self-publisher and print on demand seller, with a strong sales and business background, I have been benefitting from the magic of POD to passively bring me worldwide royalties from my books and merchandise.

With a keen eye for detail and a virulent streak of Virgo fastidiousness, delivering exceptional service and products that you are hugely proud of is my absolute mission.

Jo Wildsmith is an indie author and print-on-demand mentor with over 15 years' experience.

Through Jo Wildsmith Publishing, she shows authors there is life beyond the Amazon Best Seller Rank, offering high-end services including multi-platform publishing, deluxe editions, audiobook production, direct sales and more.

Jo is determined that after all the blood, sweat and tears authors have spent creating their masterpiece, it - and they - truly deserve the very best care and attention.

Carole

Carole Hallett Mobbs will transform your manuscript into a polished, publication-ready book.

Carole ran a publishing business before spending 12 years abroad. She’s written, edited, and designed articles, books, and magazines for more decades than she cares to count – yes, even pre-computers!

In one career incarnation, she taught computer skills worldwide, meaning she excels at complex formatting to make every page visually appealing.

Charlotte Ghose has a background in creating and publishing children’s picture books, holding a degree in English Literature and a masters from the University of Edinburgh. With an eye for detail and a love of literature, she’s passionate about bringing your book to life and being part of your journey from the moment you start working with us to the final publication!

Cicely Oliver is an editor and publishing specialist with more than 25 years’ experience helping turn ideas into clear, polished and engaging books and content. Her background spans book publishing, digital content and editorial project management. She works with authors to help make their writing the best it can be through thoughtful copyediting, while preserving their voice and ensuring the finished manuscript is clear, consistent and ready for its next stage. Known for being organised, practical and easy to work with, Cicely brings a keen eye for detail and a supportive, collaborative approach to every project.

Simon

Simon Clements is a brand and creative designer, with over 20 years in the industry, with his clients ranging from solo business owners through to international companies. With his passion, knowledge, strategic thinking and creative application, Simon helps develop assets that attract, connect and create impact. Developing book covers to bring the written words to life, is one of Simons favourite projects to work on and he is honoured to work with the great team at JoWP and the many fantastic clients.

Emma

Emma Brand worked in the Library Sector for over 18 years. She trained and became a certified Proofreader in 2022, and built a small business, e.l proofreading in late 2024.

Emma says: I've since been extremely lucky to become a member of a fantastic and close team with Jo Wildsmith Publishing.

We are delighted to have you here, Emma, and also that you have increased your role to become.a PM too.

Jennifer Parker is a Manchester-based business owner and Executive Virtual Assistant with more than ten years of experience in administration, project management, and high-level executive support. With a strong reputation as a trusted and dependable Executive Assistant, she now supports self-employed professionals and entrepreneurs, helping them streamline operations, stay organised, and focus on what truly drives their success.

With her excellent organisational skills, and meticulous attention to detail, Jen has recently become a PM at Jo Wildsmith Publishing, too.

Marie is an established merchandising professional and co-owner of MSC Branding.

Marie is head of Linea, our direct sales and warehousing service, and Linea+, where authors can sell branded products to promote their books.

She and Jo together also run POD123, enabling people to open their own unique merch store without any capital for stock or having to invest in machinery.

Fiona

Fiona Myles is a writing guide, helping you through the writing process with patience and kindness.

She has many years of writing experience over different genres.

Fiona says: Writing is my thing. Dachshunds are my thing. I'm married to Brian with one child who we fondly call The Tornado.

Fiona also narrates audiobooks and is currently learning how to master Facebook and Amazon Ads for our author clients.

Suzanne Ulph, The Book Consultant, is the founder of The Curious Wolf and The Curious Wolf Collective.

With over 25 years’ experience teaching writing skills and strategy, she works with writers and business owners to clarify their purpose, map out their book and write with focus and intent.

She is a book coach, writer and strategic thinker. She brings energy, structure and momentum to the writing process. With expert guidance on craft, clear strategy, and a healthy dose of accountability, she’ll keep you moving forward and feeling supported every step of the way.
